The Converse brand is trying to come back to the forefront with eye-catching collabs. After inviting famed designer Todd Snyder to redesign iconic pieces last month (article available HERE), the legendary American label has teamed up with professional basketball player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to reinterpret the popular Run Star Motion silhouette.
The obvious element of this shoe is the sole that strongly resembles the YEEZY Desert Boot « Taupe Blue ».
This collaborative Run Star Motion consists of a beige canvas upper with a tongue, eyelets, laces and a rubber shell on the toe box in tone on tone. In a harmonious style, the iconic star ankle badge, heel pull and tongue tag appear in a slightly darker shade of olive green. A nice touch of contrast is provided by the electric blue color applied to the tongue branding and the famous large, puffy, wavy sole.
According to the basketball player’s comment under his Instagram post featuring this shoe, the Shai Gilgeous-Alexander x Converse Run Star Motion could be released soon, at select retailers and on converse.com. More info to come, stay tuned !
