Once again this year, the famous French retailer COURIR has prepared a selection of sneakers especially for Valentine’s Day. In order to please all the lovers, the French leader went to pick pairs at Converse, Nike, Asics, Puma and Reebok.
All these sneakers are adorned with colors symbolizing love and adopt a lifestyle design, classic, modern or performance-oriented to satisfy everyone’s taste.
The Puma and Reebok labels will unveil their « Valentine’s Day 2021 » models exclusively at COURIR.
For the brand with the leaping feline, 3 silhouettes have been chosen. The legendary Suede is dressed in red, the color of love. To complete the Valentine’s Day look, the side strips and the sole appear in white. The shoe inspired by the beauty of classic cars, the Cruise Rider, features a white upper with light pink overlays and touches of red on the laceguard, heel clip and tongue branding. The originality of this shoe lies in the redesigned side strips in red and burgundy floral embroidery. The white platform sole and cream outsole finalize the design. The new version of the California, the Cali Sport, consists of a white leather base, enhanced by red and burgundy accents on the suede heel and embroidered flowers on the Puma side band presented in neutral grey suede. Additional grey suede accents, a light pink heel clip and a thick white sole complete the look.
The timeless Club C 85 from the English equipment manufacturer Reebok is part of the Valentine’s Day selection. This iteration, named Lipstick for the occasion, presents a classic and sober design. Made of white leather, the shoe features a touch of red on the heel tab, an « I love You » graphic on the side heel, and gold Reebok brandings. An all-white sole ensures the harmony of the design.
In the Nike « Valentine Day 2021 » range, the Air Force 1 was chosen by COURIR. The iconic shoe designed by Bruce Kilgore is adorned with a minimalist look to celebrate Valentine’s Day in a soft and elegant way (article available HERE). The upper is made of white leather, the side Swoosh appears in creamy vanilla color and a small red heart with silvery contours is added on the side of the heel to affirm the romantic celebration.
Three adidas silhouettes are part of the French retailer’s selection. A Superstar in a classic black and white color, highlighted by red elements such as tongue branding, logos on the heel and side panels, and a heart sewn into the side heel, in red leather and embellished with white Trefoil. A version of the popular white Stan Smith is adorned with scratches instead of laces, and the red color on the heel tab replaces the iconic green. Lip marks on the side heel and gold-colored brandings on the heel tab affirm the Valentine’s Day look. Another silhouette initially developed for tennis, the NY 90, is dressed in white. It features a delicate black insert on the heel and touches of red, like the adidas branding on the tongue label and the little red heart sewn on the side panels.
The 2008 running shoe, recently reintroduced by Japanese equipment manfacturer Asics, the GEL-KAYANO 14 is included in this selection (article available HERE). The chosen color matches the theme : a white mesh upper with silver overlay and metallic red accents. The modernized midsole with Trusstic System technology appears in white and red, combined with a black outsole that finalizes the design.
No less than 6 pairs of Converse make up this Valentine’s Day 2021 range. All of the silhouettes feature romantic white, black or red embroidery, representing hearts of different sizes and styles. The mention « made with love » ensures the reference to the day of the lovers. We discover 4 Chuck Taylor All Star, two mythical 70 (black or red) and two iconic Hi (white or black). A modernized white Chuck Taylor Hi Lift and a futuristic black Run Star Hike complete the selection. Each model is embellished with different embroideries.
