The designer-founder of the Round Two chain of boutiques, Sean Wotherspoon, is concretizing his collaboration with the German giant Adidas. In line with the environmental policy of the 3 stripes brand and the values of the famous designer, this project is partly realized using recycled materials. This collaboration has been refined over the past few months, it’s based on the silhouette of the adidas Superstar and is called « Super Earth ».
According to posts on the American designer’s Instagram website, the shoe consists of a white leather upper with a sky blue and pale pink leather laceguard. The emblematic rubber shell on the toe box is dressed in off-white. On the sides of the sneaker we find multicoloured flowers embroidered with red, black, yellow, orange, blue, purple and green thread. This eco-friendly pair is adorned with laces made of recycled paper, a cork insole with recycled composite padding and a white inner lining made of recycled ortholite. In terms of branding details, a green globe logo and the words « Super Earth » appear on the white tab and the insole. To complete the committed side of the collaboration, an explanatory text is printed in green on the inside of the tongue. The whole is based on an off-white midsole made of 10% recycled rubber and an outsole in the same colour.
The release date of the SEAN WOTHERSPOON x ADIDAS SUPERSTAR « SUPER EARTH » is not yet known. We hope that this eco-friendly pair will be accessible to all, not only in the « Family&Friends » format… Stay tuned!
