SEAN WOTHERSPOON X ADIDAS SUPERSTAR BLACK « SUPER EARTH »

A few months ago, I told you in an article (available HERE) about one of the collaborations between Sean Wotherspoon and adidas : The Adidas Superstar Black “Super Earth”. After a first iteration in white leather released at the end of summer 2020, the designer unveiled a new version in black.

Having been lucky enough to have it this holiday season, I suggest you to discover it in pictures at my feet.

This eco-friendly shoe is composed of a black leather upper with a green laceguard and a sky blue heel tab. On the sides of the sneaker, we find the iconic floral embroideries in several contrasting colors, which also include the revisited Trefoil, and bring its uniqueness to the pair. The inner lining made of recycled ortholite appears in red and the long woven tongue is adorned in black with a yellow branding label and the name Super Earth inscribed in black. As with the white iteration, the insole is made of cork with recycled composite cushioning and the water green laces are made of recycled paper. To complete the design and the ecological approach, little jewels of playful repositionable laces representing our planet have been added. A toe box and an off-white sole, made of partially recycled rubber, finalize the look.

Having appreciated the white version, I also liked this new colorway made of recycled materials. Personally, I validate in 100% an original model in terms of design and eco-friendly approach. It’s currently available on sale. It’s up to you to look for it on the net
