After a great year 2019 full of high quality collaborations, Kangaroos is back with a new project in partnership with the sneaker store : Schrittmacher. A collaboration under the banner of the German culinary art.
It’s the famous traditional German cake Christstollen or Christmas Stollen, that served as basis for this project. This ancestral delicacy is a dried and candies fruits bread, filling for marzipan. For centuries, bakers and pastry chefs have passed the recipe from generation to generation.
The pair consists of an upper in suede, mesh and leather. The shoe colour gradient is based on the main ingredients of Stollen : citronate, orange peel, dried grapes and of course, a lot of powdered sugar. The whole is based on a Dynacoil technology outsole.
The collaboration, made in Germany, is limited to 303 pairs worldwide.
The KangaROOS X Schrittmacher “Shield MiG” will be available at Schrittmacher on December 7, and a week later at other retailers such as Afew, Footshop or L’original Namur.
