Legendary American brand SAUCONY has partnered with Milanese artist EricsOne to create a massive 80m2 mural on an outdoor wall. Kicking off Milan Design Week, this work celebrates both the 30 years of the iconic Shadow 6000 silhouette and the return to normalcy of the great city of Milan after many months of confinement.
This mural highlights art, the power of expression and creativity, and brings positivity to the city of Milan.
The Italian artist EricsOne is known for his unique style of « street cubism ». Conscious of ecological issues, he has entirely handmade this work using sustainable colors and materials. The mural illustrates the concept of « Living the future metropolises » of the 2021 edition of Milan Design Week. It highlights the Shadow 6000 silhouette that represents the iconic sneaker heritage with its authentic style.
This runner, originally launched in 1991, was re-released as a limited edition on September 6, 2021. Retaining its original iconic look, it has still been updated. Made with high quality leather and suede, and features a new PWRRUN compound for the midsole. It combines lightness, comfort and performance. To celebrate its 30th anniversary, this silhouette will reappear prominently in the brand’s Fall/Winter 2021 collection. It will most certainly serve as the basis for future collabs.
The outdoor artwork designed by EricsOne for Saucony Originals will adorn the wall at 71 Corso Garibaldi in Milan. It will be visible from September 4 to 30, 2021.
