After having offered us a collab with the shop Fresh Rags (article available HERE), the American brand SAUCONY presents a pack « Megabyte » paying tribute to the technology of the 90s.
This limited edition collection consists of 3 pairs, a Grid Azura 2000, a Shadow 6000 and a Jazz 81. It honors the computers of the 90’s.
The silhouettes appear in a color palette of grey, cream and blue referring to computer screens, floppy disks, plastic cases and internet cables.
The Grid Azura 2000 features a cream leather and mesh base with panels featuring a grid pattern. Light grey leather inserts over the top complete the design. An off-white midsole combined with a cream outsole under the forefoot and grey under the heel provide the finishing touch.
The Shadow 6000 sees its cream mesh upper enhanced with light grey suede overlays and a dark grey side S logo. To complete the look, the top of the heel is silver and the cream midsole is paired with a grey outsole. To affirm the homage to computers, the insole is adorned with a keyboard print.
The Jazz 81 features a blue mesh base complemented by matching suede overlays. A touch of contrast is provided by the grey color at the side logo, heel tab and tongue label. The whole is based on a cream midsole and a grey outsole.
The Saucony « Megabyte pack » is released in 2 stages. The Grid Azura 2000 and the Shadow 6000 are available since August 10, 2021 at select retailers and on saucony.com, priced at 130$ and 120$ respectively. The Jazz 81 will be launched soon and will cost 90$.
