SAUCONY JAZZ 81 X ALIFE “Navy/Silver”

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to receive from the famous New York retailer ALIFE a great vintage style collaboration on the Saucony Jazz 81 silhouette. A shoe released in 1981 under the name Jazz, coming back 40 years later in a premium version called Jazz 81.

It seems that the New Yorkers at Alife have decided to pay homage to this heritage by taking inspiration from one of the OG colorways called « Navy Silver » by some and « Vintage Blue » by others.

The pair faithful to the original model, is reinterpreted in a more modern way by the contribution of premium materials. Indeed, the basic suede and nylon have been replaced by a soft wolverine suede and ultra-resistant mesh in colors ranging from blue to silver grey. We find Alife branding details on the heel and tongue tag. The whole is based on a white sole and a black outsole.

It should be noted that I had a personalized version with my name « Bisso » engraved on the left foot at the toe box. A lovely and stylish detail.

I don’t have more details about a possible worldwide release, but it’s a safe bet that true vintage sneaker lovers or not, will find in this reissue a high quality product in a style that brings us back to the essence of the Sneaker Culture. Special Big Up to my friend Treis Hill.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”43806″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
