A few weeks ago, I told you in an article (available HERE) about the first collaboration between Saucony and the Floridian retailer Fresh Rags. A shoe paying tribute to an endangered animal : the manatee.
Having had the chance to receive it, I suggest you to discover it in pictures on my feet.
The sneaker is composed of a grey Athletic mesh base, enhanced by a metallic ocean blue cage and completed by Algae green suede overlays featuring small embossed patterns. The collar and tongue are made of navy blue neoprene, as is the iconic protective lip guard. The design is complemented by the iridescent S logo on the side panels and the slanted stripes embroidered in eelgrass green at the heel and sole area. To affirm the collab, the green FRESH RAGS logo adorns the tongue label. The whole is based on an off-white midsole, coupled with a sparkling turquoise blue icy outsole that ensures the look.
I find this collaboration with warm and summery colors beautiful. Indeed, these different shades of blue and green on a grey background bring contrast to this imposing silhouette. The theme is perfectly respected, with grey to represent the manatee, blue and green referring to the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. You will have understood, we are in front of a real limited edition that will have a good place in my collection of sneakers.
