Le shop Allemand Sapato basé dans la ville de Kassel s’est associé à Kangaroos afin de nous proposer une collaboration de qualité premium.
Le thème qu’ils ont choisi est basé sur l’art, et, plus précisément sur un évènement artistique: La “Documenta 14”. La documenta est l’exposition d’art la plus importante au monde. Elle se déroule à Kassel tous les 5 ans. Le propriétaire de Kangaroos Bernd Hummel ayant lui même une formation artistique, n’a pu qu’adhérer à ce projet. La philosophie a été de voir la chaussure non pas comme un assemblage de pièces de cuir sur laquelle on marche mais comme un engagement portable vers l’art avec un grand A.
La “D14” est une combinaison des modèles Coil R-1 et Ultimate, ce qui en fait un hybride. Naturellement fabriquée à la main en Allemagne, seuls les meilleurs cuirs ont été utilisés dans l’élaboration de cette chaussure.
Le upper se compose de velours (100% veau) perforé et gaufré. On distingue du cuir grainé structuré au niveau du garde-boue et du talon. La doublure est en cuir de veau, tandis que la semelle intérieure est recouverte de peau de chèvre. La semelle intercalaire est de couleur rose clair et la semelle extérieure est en turquoise “glacée”. Outre les chaussures, chaque boîte contient une paire de chaussettes officielles “documenta14”.
La sortie officielle aura lieu chez Sapato à la fin de la documenta le 16 sept. 2017. Quelques shops distribueront également la paire:

The German shop Sapato based in the city of Kassel has partnered with Kangaroos to offer us a premium quality collaboration.
The theme they chose is based on art, and more specifically on an artistic event: “Documenta 14”. Documenta is the most important art exhibition in the world. It takes place in Kassel every 5 years. The owner of Kangaroos Bernd Hummel, who had an artistic background, was able to join the project. The philosophy has been to see the shoe not as an assemblage of leather pieces on which one walks but as a portable commitment to art with a large A.
The “D14” is a combination of the Coil R-1 and Ultimate models, making it a hybrid. Naturally handmade in Germany, only the best leather has been used in the development of this shoe.
The upper consists of velvet (100% calfskin) perforated and embossed. One distinguishes from the structured grain leather in the mudguard and the heel. The lining is in calf leather, while the insole is covered with goatskin. The midsole is light pink and the outsole is in turquoise “icy”. Besides the shoes, each box contains a pair of official socks “documenta14”.
The official release will take place at Sapato at the end of the documenta on Sept. 16, 2017. Some shops will also distribute the pair:
