This year 2022 marks the 75th anniversary of the SALOMON brand. To celebrate this important anniversary, the French outdoor label has elaborated a special pack. In addition to the XT-6 Expanse presented previously (article available HERE), an XT-QUEST and a RAID WIND enrich this collection.
The 3 pairs in this pack pay tribute to the iconic Adventure 7 model released in 1992. They have a vintage 90’s look with a combination of colors and materials that reveal the nostalgic spirit of the collection.
Like the XT-6 Expanse, these new XT-QUEST and RAID WIND feature a typical 90’s color palette of mustard, brown, pin green and black.
The XT-QUEST consists of a mustard yellow mesh upper with a pin green section from the lace-up area to the heel. This base is complemented by brown synthetic overlays with black branding details and graphics. The pair features a QUICKLACE lacing system and a white inner lining. The whole is based on a sturdy black midsole with a Contagrip All Terrain outsole that offers stability and durability.
The RAID WIND features an upper that mixes classic mesh with 3D mesh and lycra in mustard and pin green. To ensure durability, the shoe is adorned with brown synthetic overlays and a black heel reinforcement. The trail look is completed with metallic silver eyelets and a black speckled QUICKLACE lacing system. A comfortable black EVA midsole and matching All Terrain Contagrip rugged outsole add the finishing touches to the design.
The Salomon RAID WIND « 75th Anniversary » is now available for $140 in stores and on salomon.com. The XT-QUEST « 75th Anniversary » will be released soon for a price of $185, before the end of August 2022. Stay tuned !
