For some time now, the famous outwear brand SALOMON has been meddling in streetwear/lifestyle fashion with eye-catching collabs, like the latest one with the shop BODEGA (article available HERE). The French label also develops internal projects that are true to its DNA and pay tribute to its heritage. To celebrate its 75th anniversary, SALOMON unveils a new colorway of the XT-6 Expanse.
This new iteration is inspired by the SALOMON Adventure 7, a pioneering shoe released in 1992.
It fconsists of a durable canvas upper in mustard yellow on the forefoot and midfoot, and forest green under the ankle and heel. This base is complemented by brown nubuck overlays and black toe reinforcement. To affirm the vintage 90’s look, the quick lacing system has been replaced by a traditional black lacing. The SALOMON branding is affixed in black on the side heel and the « S » logo of the French brand stands out in mustard on the long black tongue tag. The whole is based on a black EnergyCell midsole, paired with a sturdy tone-on-tone lugged outsole, which keeps the design together.
The Salomon XT-6 Expanse « 75th Anniversary » is already available in France and will be released worldwide during the month of September 2022 at a price of $180, in stores and online at salomon.com, as well as at selected retailers.
