Rui Hachimura, the Japanese NBA player of the Washington Wizards, adds a new silhouette to his first collaboration with Jordan brand. After an AJ 8 presented a few days ago (article available HERE), a Jordan Series 01 appeared today.
Seemingly reversing the color scheme of the collaborative AJ 8, this special Series 01 is dressed mostly in black with red and sesame accents.
It features a mix of materials, including black suede on the toe box, black distressed leather on the panels and heel, and red textile inserts at a lower eyelet. For an extra special touch, a Japanese art-inspired graphic pattern is applied to the tongue and select eyelets. The sesame tongue tag is adorned with the Rui Hachimura logo and the side panels are adorned with the collab name « Dear Rui » (combining American and Japanese script) embroidered in red thread. A black lining and a white branded insole complete the design. The whole is based on a yellowed midsole and a red rubber outsole.
