Although currently absent from the basketball floors, Rui Hachimura presents a new interesting collaborative project. After developing his 2nd G-SHOCK signature model (article available HERE), the Washington Wizards forward unveils a 1st retro collaboration with Jordan Brand based on the AJ8 silhouette.
Contrary to the classic technical pairs, this special edition is dressed with a sophisticated and elegant look. It comes in a twine and sesame beige color palette with a touch of red and black.
In terms of construction, the shoe features a suede base, perforated on the sides and smooth on the toe box, with leather overlays featuring Distressed patterns. To affirm the collab, the traditional Jumpman tongue branding has been replaced with Rui Hachimura’s signature logo in red and black. The luxurious look of this bball is accentuated by discreetly engraved 23 and Air Jordan logos, and embossed patterns applied all along the tongue and collar. The black color is found on the inner lining, the 2nd set of laces, the tightening buckles and most of the outsole (the toe is red). A yellowed twine midsole completes the design.
The pair comes in a special box with an illustration of Rui Hachimura about to going up for a slam dunk.
