The famous rappers-brothers BIG FLO and OLI are proud of their pink city and like to participate in its cultural development. Through their structure GOLDEN CHILD and in collaboration with the agency BLEU CITRON and the group LA DEPECHE DU MIDI, the young artists organize an innovative and rich festival on the Toulouse territory, France.
Named « ROSE FESTIVAL », this event aims to offer an attractive artistic program and to be long-lasting, like « Something in the Water » by Pharell Williams or « Astroworld » by Travis Scott.
As for the scenography and aesthetics, all the elements of the festival
will be pink : it’s the identity of this new event. A visual universe to make the city of Toulouse shine. It will include a reproduction of emblematic monuments of the city, such as le Pont Neuf and la Place Saint-Pierre.
The 1st edition will include about 20 concerts over 2 days on 2 stages.
The musical style will be multiple : rap, electro, pop, variety, in order to suit young people as well as families, as the legendary GAROROCK can be.
On the program this year, renowned artists such as I AM, DAMSO, LAYLOW, MOUSS & HAKIM (from Zebda), DELUXE and of course BIG FLO and OLI, but also emerging talents like ZIAK, FKJ, ZINEE or L’Impératrice. In addition to these artists, Ben Mazué, Polo & Pan, NTO, Paul Kalkbrenner, Bon Entendeur, Luidji, Folamour and Chilla will perform on stage.
About this large-scale event, Big Flo said : « We wanted first to please people of our generation, to make them enjoy by bringing names that have become essential as Damso or Laylow. But we didn’t want to focus exclusively on young people, so we’re going to find Paul Kalkbrenner (German techno and electro producer and DJ, editor’s note), who is more in line with our age group, IAM, who are legends, or Ben Mazué, who has a more « variety » profile and who can touch all generations. And as we didn’t want the festival to be only categorized as rap, we tried to balance the proposal by also programming electro, pop…» .
In order to help young artists, to develop professionalization and access to current music scenes, the 2nd edition of the ROSE FESTIVAL will open a 3rd stage dedicated to musical discoveries.
The 1st edition of the « ROSE FESTIVAL » will take place on September 2nd and 3rd, 2022 from 4pm to 2am at the MEETT in Aussonne, the Toulouse Metropole Exhibition and Convention Center. Prices are set at 46€ per night or 72€ for both nights. Tickets are available HERE, enjoy !
