The talented New York designer Ronnie FIEG seems to have revisited, once again, a sneaker from the catalog of his regular collaborator, New Balance. According to the well-informed account @le.syndrome, this new project is based on the silhouette perfected and modernized by New Balance’s Tokyo Design Studio : the RC 1300.
Inspired by the NB 1300, which celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2020, the RC 1300 was introduced last April. It benefits from the latest technological innovations.
Ronnie Fieg has already added his touch to this premium design silhouette in August 2020, as part of the KITH x NB 1300 « Mauve Sole » pack (article available HERE). Today, the shoe appears in a darker shade and is adorned with subtle additional details.
The sneaker consists of a brown mesh upper with matching suede overlays. This base is contrasted by cream-colored elements such as the tongue, the leather heel tab with KITH and FIEG brandings, the inner lining and laces. The imposing N logo on the side is also dressed in cream and features an elegant embossed KITH monogram, already seen on the Nike AF1 which is about to release to celebrate the imminent opening of the KITH Paris shop. The whole is based on a comfortable white midsole with ENCAP Reveal technology, separated at the heel, combined with a cream outsole with wide studs for optimal grip.
