Some brands are innovating in the search for eco-responsible materials to elaborate their collections. This is an important step forward considering that the fashion industry is the second most polluting industry in the world after oil.
Concerned about this serious current problem, the new Parisian brand RISE OF HUMAN, founded in 2019, today introduces its second project, made from different recycled materials, a reinvention of the house’s signature model : the “DNA” in recycled denim.
This collection is available in 2 colours : blue “DNA blue denim” and beige “DNA beige denim”. It’s entirety handmade in Portugal, with carefully selected raw materials that respect environmental standards. Neverless, the aesthetic side is not neglected, the leitmotiv of Rise of Human being “design and know-how”.
The pairs are composed of denim, which is made of a controversial material : jeans, because of its impact on the environment. Rise of human proves that this versatile and timeless textile can keep its place among the fashion leaders, as long as eco-friendly components are chosen. Indeed, RoH denim is made from 35% recycled denim and 65% organic cotton. The brands eco-friendly approach doesn’t stop there : the lining is made from recycled plastic bottles and the outsole is made from 70% recycled rubber, making each pair unique. Moreover,with this process, it’s possible to have little touches of colour in the outsole, making the pair even more original. For the futuristic side, reflective inserts (brand signature) are added on both colours.
For the “DNA blue denim”, there are two shades of blue on the whole, and five black stripes on each side of the shoe. As for the laces, they are white, to match the seams and the reflective stripes on the toe box. The RISE OF HUMAN brand name is written on the top of the tongue. The same applies to the “DNA beige denim”. Only the colour shades range from off-white to light brown and of course beige.
