The famous Puma brand unveils a bold new collaboration. It has teamed up with the animated sitcom Rick and Morty who have brought their touch to the first LaMelo Ball signature shoe, the MB.01.
Rick and Morty is an animated series for adults mixing science fiction, adventure and dark humor. It has quickly become one of the most popular series of recent years, and is also a favorite program of the famous basketball player LaMelo Ball.
His first signature shoe, the MB.01, is a concentrate of technology and performance with an explosive design, just like LaMelo and his game on the court. It features a specially designed mesh upper to provide a lightweight structure that offers ideal foot support.
This exclusive version features the 2 main characters, Rick, the cynical scientist grandfather and Morty his gullible pre-teen grandson.
The bball has a mismatched look, the right shoe is red while the left one is green. In a nod to Rick and Morty’s scientific activities, the illustration of a dimensional portal adorns the middle of the tongue, below the branding. The faces of the characters are also featured on the inside, with the grandfather on the green shoe and the grandson on the red one. The inscription « Rick and Morty » is stamped on the toe box and the Puma M.E.L.O logo appears in reverse color on each heel. To complete the look, the NITRO FOAM technology midsole and non-slip rubber outsole are color matched to the upper.
This special pair will be released with 6 co-branded textile pieces : a hoodie, pants, long sleeve and short sleeve tee, shorts and a slime onesie.
The Rick and Morty x PUMA MB.01 will be released on February 18, 2022, at selected retailers and on puma.com, priced at 135$. Be ready !
