Reebok Question Mid “Yellow Toe”

Los Angeles Lakers leader Quinn Cook has just officially unveiled a Reebok Question Mid in « Yellow Toe » colorway. The shoe is inspired by a Player Exclusive pair worn by the late Kobe Bryant in 2002-03, after he left the equipment manufacturer adidas and was then free of any sneaker contract.

The Reebok Question Mid « Yellow Toe » should have been released at the NBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago last February. But following the tragic death of the legendary « Mamba » in January, Reebok cancelled the launch.

This sneaker refers to the special all-white alternate of the Lakers team, typically worn on Sundays and for holiday games.

It consists of a white leather upper with a matching mesh tongue. The yellow Lakers color is found on the toe box, heel, laces eyelets and outsole. Purple accents are used to define the Reebok branding details on the eyelets and the outlines of the vector logo on the top of the tongue, heel and side of the shoe. The iconic « honeycomb », integrated into the white midsole, comes in two-tone yellow and purple. The number 3 can be seen on the back of each foot, recreating the number 33 that the young Kobe wore as a tribute to his father. The purple-colored Reebok brand under the outsole finalizes the design.

The Reebok Question Mid « Yellow Toe » will be part of the « Alternates » basketball pack which includes another Question Mid « Black/Gold » and a Kamikaze II « Black/Red ». The release is scheduled for November 2020, at selected retailers and on Reebok.com. More information coming soon. Stay tuned…
