The prestigious German studio PORSCHE DESIGN has teamed up for the first time with sneaker legend, designer and SONRA CEO Hikmet Sugoer to offer us a collaboration based on the « Proto » silhouette. From different backgrounds but united by a unique product philosophy and high-end know-how, the two partners present us with a limited edition sneaker that can be considered a collector’s item.
Hikmet Sugoer has had a cult following for the Porsche brand and the 912 model in particular since he was very young. After a few setbacks, he is now the proud owner of this much desired car. His passion for sneakers led him to transpose the imposing, sporty and elegant design of this Porsche 912 to his SONRA Proto.
The shoe presented today is handmade in Germany with top quality materials. The upper is made of natural full-grain cowhide leather and vegetable-tanned leather in slate grey color. A double horizontal red and pearl grey stripe on the back of the foot adds elegance and cachet to the pair. To complete the design, we discover a natural beige leather inner lining, the pearl grey PORSCHE DESIGN inscription on the heel counter, as well as its logo engraved on the tongue and also the SONRA logo in relief on the side panels. The famous number « 912 » of the iconic Porsche appears on the red part of the heel, completing the tribute. The whole is based on a white midsole combined with a black outsole.
