In conjunction with Paris Fashion Week, which runs from January 17 to 22, 2023, Japanese brand ASICS announces the launch of an exclusive Pop-Up Store at 3537.
ASICS is one of the world-renowned sports brands that dares to team up with various brands to offer unique and powerful collaborations. For the Parisian Pop-Store, ASICS has teamed up with Awake NY, Andersson Bell and Brain Dead to put on sale pairs of collaborative shoes revisited in limited quantities.
Loyal collaborators, asics and Angelo Baque present a new model, the GEL-NYC, created as a tribute to the Big Apple. Unveiled last December, this sneaker combines the technology and retro design of the GEL-NIMBUS 3, GEL-MC Plus V and GEL-Cumulus 16. Available in 2 colorways Pink/Teal/Grey and Gold/Purple/Grey, this AWAKE NY x asics GEL-NYC consists of an upper that mixes technical mesh, leather and suede in an eye-catching contrasting colorway. Co-branding details and a two-tone white/color GEL technology midsole matching the Tigers Stripes on the side and a black outsole harmoniously finalize the bold design of the model.
The Japanese brand and the Korean label Andersson Bell offer us the GEL-Sonoma 15-50 revisited last October. Uniting Scandinavian inspirations and Korean heritage, Andersson Bell has imagined a fantasy world named ‘ASICS WORLD’. This special GEL-Sonoma 15-50 has a look that pays tribute to the love of the outdoors. Available in 3 colorways, it’s made from a combination of technical materials in shades of green, orange, pink, red, beige, brown or black. It’s adorned with a bold look and has many details that add character to the whole. To accentuate the comfort and affirm the « great outdoors » inspiration, the pair benefits from a lacing system reminiscent of hiking boots and a thick technical sole. The collab is subtly affirmed by a black and white « ANDERSSON BELL » tag sewn on the side heel. Alongside these 3 iterations, Andersson Bell will be releasing a small selection of their collaboration line with Asics, which is usually sold exclusively in Korea.
A few days ago, Asics teased its 3rd collaboration with the BRAIN DEAD collective. This latest opus is based on the silhouette that is gaining popularity right now : the GEL-Nimbus-9. Combining retro colors and futurism, this exclusive version named « Rio Red » has a bold multicolor look. It consists of a red mesh base, enhanced by mint green leather (possibly synthetic) inserts on the sides, with bright yellow toe and heel reinforcements. The Tigers Stripes on the sides are dressed in a combination of light pink and purple, while the inner lining and outsole are presented in fuchsia pink. To affirm the bold look, the pair is also adorned with orange accents on the heel and a military green hue on the GEL technology midsole. A tongue co-branding and dark hiking-inspired laces harmoniously finalize the bold design. A 2nd version with a pastel pink sole might also be designed… the answer in store.
The ASICS Paris Pop-UP Store will be held from January 19 to 21, 2023 at ‘3537’, located at 35 rue des francs-bourgeois in the 4th district of Paris. The AWAKE x ASICS GEL-NYC and ANDERSSON BELL x ASICS GEL-SONOMA™ 15-50 will be sold for 160€ per pair, and the BRAIN DEAD x ASICS GEL-NIMBUS™ 9 is priced at 180€. Enjoy !
