Legendary British footwear brand CLARKS has come up with a collaboration that will appeal to adults and kids alike. After teaming up with iconic labels like SUPREME, Aimé Leon Doré and BAPE (articles available on this site), CLARKS works with the successful Originals Pokémon franchise for a collection of Wallabee.
The iconic Wallabee boot is available in adult and children’s versions, named respectively Wallabee Boot classic and Wallabee Mist.
It presents a new look inspired by the hyper-popular, cross-generational Entertainment : Pokémon, which is a television series, video games and iconic characters. The shoe features the legendary Pikachu, in different ways depending on the version.
The Wallabee Boot for adults is offered in 2 signature colors of the franchise : black and yellow. Made from suede, it features eye-catching details such as an all-over Pikachu print on the vamp and an embroidered Poké ball on the side heel. The 2 iterations, black or yellow, feature a black crepe collar and sole. A triple hangtag, including a round imitating the famous poké ball, harmoniously finalizes the look.
The Wallabee Mist for kids has the same super-flexible upper as the Clarks Originals Wallabee Boot but is enhanced with kid-friendly comfort features. This special collaborative version comes in black. It consists of a suede upper with simply a yellow embroidered Pikachu design on the heel counter. The collar and flat waxed laces also appear dressed in black. To complete the design, the pair benefits from a double hangtags, one yellow co-branded with the illustration of the famous white and red poké ball, and the other takes the shape of the poké ball but comes in black and yellow. A traditional crepe sole adds the finishing touch.
The POKÉMON x CLARKS Wallabee Boot for adults are out August 1, 2022 on clarks.com for a price of $170 (£140). The POKÉMON x CLARKS Wallabee Mist for kids will be available soon, certainly for back-to-school. Stay tuned !
