Los Angeles-based streetwear label, PLEASURES, continues to collaborate with major sportswear brands. For his new project, Alex James and his team have teamed up with Reebok and reinterpreted 2 iconic silhouettes, the Club C 85 and the Club C Legacy.
The two pairs feature a distinct color palette.
The Club C 85, long used as a skateshoe, appears in a combination of black and forest green. Wishing to face serenely the bad weather and the rides (of skateboarding), it’s composed of a base in black Cordura, an ultra resistant and waterproof fabric, with contrasting white seams. This base is enhanced by forest green suede overlays on the mudguard, side panels, laceguard and heel. Silver metal eyelets and a black tongue and inner lining complete the look. A Cordura tag is sewn under the ankle, classic Reebok branding adorned the tongue tag and PLEASURES branding appears embroidered in white on the side panels. The latter stands out below a green suede inset cut into a heart shape. The whole is based on an all-black rubber sole.
The Club C Legacy gets a sleek look with a combination of grey hues. The sneaker, originally designed for tennis, appears modernized and refined. It features a multi-layered upper combining mesh and suede in shades of grey. To affirm the collab, the brand PLEASURE is distinguished on different parts of the sneaker : on the heel counter affixed in white, inscribed, also in white, on the side of the midsole and coupled with the Vectors Reebok black logo on the tongue tag. The whole is based on a yellowed translucent sole that adds the final touch to the design.
The Pleasures x Reebok Club C 85 & Club C Legacy will preview on August 17, 2021 on the California-based brand’s website pleasurenow.com, before a global launch on August 20, 2021. Prices are set at 120$ per iteration.
