As part of the master class « Fueling the Future of Footwear » signed by sports retail giant FOOT LOCKER with the PENSOLE Footwear Design Academy, the Portland students were able to work with the equipment manufacturer NEW BALANCE. This triple collaboration is based on the popular 70s inspired silhouette, the NB 327.
PENSOLE is a school that trains the next generation of sneaker designers by promoting innovation and creativity. Founded in 2010 by D’Wayne Edwards, it has already participated in some great projects and has expanded its capabilities by developing 4 different studios, each bringing complementary resources.
The shoe presents a daring and playful design. It consists of a mesh upper in several colors : navy blue, turquoise, yellow and pink, decorated with aqua blue suede overlays on the front of the foot and navy blue on the back and the laceguard. The side N logo blends into the vamp, subtly appearing in a continuity of colors. Unique wavy borders, one orange and one aqua blue, join the N logo on the quarter panel and add a daring touch of originality. An aqua blue tongue, laces and tri-branded insole complete the look. The whole is based on a navy blue midsole combined with the characteristic white outsole.
The Pensole x New Balance 327 will be released on December 4, 2020 exclusively on footlocker.com and newbalance.com, for 100€. Be ready !
