PATTA x Nike Air Max 1

The famous Amsterdam shop PATTA regularly treats us with qualitative and original collaborations (several articles available on this site). The store co-founded by Edson Sabajo still has some nice surprises in store for us, including a new association with the American giant NIKE. The two partners have reworked the legendary Air Max 1 silhouette.

The sneaker imagined by the famous designer Tinker Hatfield in 1987 is declined by PATTA in « Monarch » and « Noise Aqua » colorways.

The first images of one of the 2 iterations, the orange « Monarch », has just surfaced on social networks. The shoe consists of a light grey ballistic mesh upper with white leather overlays. This base is enhanced by an orange suede mudguard that features a novel wave-shaped cutout. To complete the look, the side Swoosh, upper eyelets and heel branding are also featured in orange. We find the famous mini-Swoosh embroidered with white thread on the toe. The design harmony is provided by a white tongue, inner lining and laces. The whole is based on a yellowed midsole that adds a vintage side to the collab, and an outsole using the colors of the upper.

The « Noise Aqua » iteration is expected to feature the same construction, with the orange color replaced by a bold blue hue. The pairs will come in an exclusive custom and co-branded box.

The PATTA x Nike Air Max 1 duo is expected to be released in the coming months, on patta.nl and select retailers as well as on nike.com. The price should be around 160$. For the latest official details, stay tuned !
