The famous Amsterdam-based shop PATTA has been making successful collaborations. While the release of the Air Max 1 « Pure Platinum » has just closed the 2nd part of the collection « The Wave » imagined with NIKE, a brand new New Balance 990v3 revisited by PATTA has surfaced.
This new opus was unveiled a few hours ago by Timothy Sabajo, the brother of Edson, the co-founder of the Dutch label.
After bringing his touch to the NB 920 in 2020 and the NB 991 in 2021, PATTA finds its solid partner NEW BALANCE for a new reinterpretation of the 990v3.
This Made in USA sneaker features a premium design. According to the first photos posted, it consists of an olive mesh upper with suede and nubuck overlays in tone-on-tone or shades of this primary colorway. In a harmonious spirit, the side N logo appears reflective grey, the heel tab and the speckled part of the midsole are presented in neutral grey. A nice touch of contrast and boldness is provided by fluorescent green inserts at the toe box and the area under the ankle. To affirm the collab, the Patta brand is engraved on the side heel, and the iconic « P » logo adorns the heel instead of the traditional « NB » badge. It’s surrounded by the words « made in U.S.A. » and the New Balance branding. A comfortable off-white midsole and black rubber outsole elegantly finish the look.
