Two weeks ago, the German shoe manufacturer ADIDAS unveiled a ZX 8000 inspired by the Yoyogi Park in the Shibuya district of Tokyo (article available HERE). The Japanese reference shop ATMOS tells us that this special edition is part of the « Yoyogi Park » pack which also includes a Forum Low.
These two adidas silhouettes have regained popularity thanks to successful reissues and collabs. For this new pack, they are based on the theme of Yoyogi Park, which was established in 1967. The design is inspired by the changing colors of the trees in the park throughout the seasons.
Like the ZX 8000, the Forum Low is dressed in off-white, brown, yellow and green. The purple touch seen earlier is replaced by an orange hue. We also find the location of Yoyogi Park on the silhouette, here affixed in white on the heel counter.
The shoe features an off-white leather upper, enhanced by brown suede overlays. The look is completed with Forest Green 3 Stripes on the side and yellow accents on the top of the toe box, heel clip, inner lining and adidas branding on the iconic brown Velcro strap. To ensure a harmonious design, the forest green color is found on the metal eyelets and the tongue tag. The whole is based on an off-white midsole, combined with an orange rubber outsole.
The ADIDAS « Yoyogi Park » pack, consisting of the ZX 8000 and Forum Low, will be released on August 7, 2021 at ATMOS stores and online via an open raffle starting August 3, 2021 at atmos-tokyo.com. Prices are set at 140$ for the ZX 8000 and 120$ for the Forum Low.
