In the last few weeks, the iconic BAPE STA has come back to the forefront of the sneaker scene through attractive collaborations. After being revisited by MARVEL or USPS, the iconic model of the Japanese streetwear brand appears reworked by OVO, the lifestyle label of rapper DRAKE.
Lately, the world famous artist had rather abandoned his brand OVO in order to devote himself to the creation of his sub-label at Nike : « NOCTA » and to imagine effective collections and collabs.
This new opus with BAPE puts some light on OVO.
According to the first images, this special BAPE STA has a look both street and chic.
The all-white shoe features a leather upper with faux snakeskin and crocodile motifs. The overlays and heel tab feature the same construction. On the side panels, Bape’s traditional « Shooting Star » has been modified to highlight the collaboration. The star appears attached to the OVO branding. To affirm the association of the 2 brands, the pair benefits from a special metal dubrae in the shape of an owl, the logo of Drake’s label. The look is finalized by a tongue tag featuring the black BAPE branding and an all white sole.
This collaborative edition will be delivered in a brand new box, specially designed for the occasion.
