In addition to developing his signature fashion brand, London-based Bulgarian designer Kiko Kostadinov is involved in various projects. Together with Los Angeles art gallery Morán Morán, he created OTTO 958 in 2019. This label-cultural platform unveils an inaugural collaboration with the Japanese giant ASICS.
This exclusive collab has been in the works for several months. From the images released in recent days, it seems that the launch is approaching.
OTTO 958 brought its touch to a streamlined silhouette with a shape reminiscent of the leather soccer shoes of the 90s. This new model is presented to us in 3 colorways : Black/Grey, Grey/Black and Dark Green/Black.
The shoe is equipped with stitching on the toe box that provides a typical padded effect. In order to affirm the retro soccer shoe inspiration, it has an off-center lacing system and a special tongue with a padded flap. This additional element is fully decorated with the famous embroidered “O” logo of OTTO 958. As for other branding details, the contrasting and secondary color Tigers Stripes appear in their usual place (on the quarter panel), ‘asics’ stands out on the tongue and ‘OTTO 958’ is emblazoned on the bottom of the heel, below the ‘a’ of asics. The whole is based on a sectioned midsole in the secondary coloredand a matching rubber outsole.
