Two years after the release of the very limited OPIUM x LE COQ SPORTIF R1000, the famous Parisian sneaker shop OPIUM joins once again the brand LE COQ SPORTIF for a 100% French collaboration based on the R1100 silhouette.
This exclusive pair is dressed in high-end materials and appears limited to 500 pieces worldwide.
Unveiled through a video on the store’s Instagram account, this collaborative shoe commemorates the path taken by OPIUM‘s founders, Mounir, Yace and Farid. The first 2 partners appear in this video and talk about their common journey.
The pair is captioned « The road is long but the road is beautiful ».
First introduced in 1992, the LCS R1100 celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.
It was the perfect shoe for runners looking for good lateral support, excellent comfort and optimal foot roll thanks to the Dynactif system. In recent years, this silhouette has become a true lifestyle pair that goes with all trends.
Reinterpreted by OPIUM, this silhouette features a color palette ranging from black to off-white, khaki green, lime, beige, brown and purple, with a touch of fuchsia pink.
It consists of an upper combining several premium materials, including neutral grey mesh on the toe box, khaki green suede on the heel and tongue, and off-white corduroy on the midfoot overlays and heel top with navy blue embroidered ‘le coq sportif’ branding. A black suede toe overlay, lime TPU heel reinforcement and brown inserts on the bottom of the foot assert the design. The panels are adorned with the LCS Coq logo on one side and the OPIUM star on the other, embroidered in black. To confirm the collab and signify the pair’s exclusivity, the tongue tags feature the partners’ brandings and numbering. Purple laces and upper eyelets, as well as a black sole with khaki green and pink accents finalize the look.
The OPIUM X LE COQ SPORTIF R1100, limited to 500 units worldwide, is released on December 16, 2022 at midnight on the Parisian shop opiumparis.com for 150€ ($160) and sizes ranging from EU 36 to EU 47. Wake up !
