After presenting a collaboration with adidas in the colors of Hoolywood Hills for the summer season (article available HERE), the British brand Offspring has teamed up once again with the Massachusetts label, Converse. As with their previous collaborative project released in 2019, the spirit of patchwork is there. However, for this next pack, Offspring has chosen a pattern reminiscent of the fashion of the 80-90s, which is now back in vogue. A duo of Converse Chuck Hi « Paisley » is proposed to us.
The two iterations are adorned with a different color range.
One pair is dressed in light, rather pastel colors such as beige, pale pink, yellow, pistachio green and sky blue. While the other appears in bold, classic colors such as black, burgundy red, grey and off-white. The combination of these different colored canvas inserts with the Paisley pattern creates a patchwork effect on the upper. The visible seams accentuate this design. We find the famous Converse leather star logo on the ankle and the metal laces eyelets. Off-white laces and the heel badge, yellow or grey depending on the iteration, with the Paisley pattern complete the look. The whole is based on an off-white sole with black horizontal lines, combined with an outsole in the colors of the upper.
The Offspring x Converse Chuck 70 Hi « Paisley » duo will be available at Offspring retailers and at offspring.co.uk on October 8, 2020. The recommended retail price per pair is 100€.
