The rumor seems to be confirmed : Virgil Abloh and Nike are working together on the design of 50 colorways of Off-White x Dunk Low. Visuals of the latest version of this iconic collaboration, the « 50 of 50 », has surfaced on social media.
A few days ago, it was said that the Off-White x Nike collection « The 20 » (article available HERE) would finally consist of 20 colorways of Dunk Low. The designer Virgil Abloh denied this information, letting us think that « The 20 » would be a collection of heterogeneous silhouettes.
Today, the well-informed account @zsneakerheadz reported that the two strong partners were teaming up on another collection, indeed consisting of several numbered Off-White x Nike Dunk Low colorways, 50 to be precise.
The « 50 of 50 » pair posted on social media is described as the most special of the pack. It’s dressed in full black while the other 49 versions would be adorned with an upper colorway « Sail / Grey ». On version number 50, the side Swoosh appears in contrasting silver, as well as the signature Off-White industrial markings. The look is completed with purple accents on the Swoosh tag and number plate. The signature double lacing and sole appear in black, harmonizing the design.
For the other 49 collaborative iterations adorning a « Sail/Grey » base, the only differences would be based on the hues of specific parts of the shoe. These are the insoles, tongues, the second lacing system signature Abloh, tag sewn near the side Swoosh and plate with the number of the iteration, arranged on the white midsole.
It could also be that the colorway varies depending on the size…
The Off-White x Nike Dunk Low « 50 of 50 » is scheduled for release in Fall 2021, as is the entire pack. The price should be around 180$ per iteration. More info to come, stay tuned !
