Virgil Abloh and Jordan Brand continue their fruitful collaboration. After reinterpreting the AJ1, AJ4 and AJ5, the founder of Off-White Brand is working on the Air Jordan 2 Low silhouette. While a first white version seems to be confirmed (article available HERE), it would be accompanied by a black iteration.
Although the white version reminiscent of the « Varsity Red » has aged and even « damaged » finishes, this iteration adopts a more classic and simple look.
It comes in black with blue accents on the tongue branding, heel and side panel piping. The look is completed with contrasting red laces, adorned with Off-White’s distinctive « SHOE LACES » lettering in black. Michael Jordan’s signature is also present, but in silver on the quarter panel. On the other side of the foot, Off-White print script provides the collaborative look. An orange zip tie, black inner lining and black midsole paired with a grey and blue outsole finalize the design.
The Off-White x Air Jordan 2 Low « Black » could be released soon as part of the silhouette’s 35th anniversary celebration on nike.comand at select retailers. It’s also possible that this duo (White and Black) marks the beginning of a larger series… To be continued !
