After having presented us with 3 colorways of the iconic Air Jordan 1 silhouette since 2017, Virgil Abloh could offer us a 4th version, featuring the « Oregon Ducks » college sport team. This upcoming collaboration between the brand at the Jumpman and the Off-White label was teased on the Ducks’ official twitter account under the much-awaited « GOT ‘EM » background of the Nike SNKRS app.
The exclusive shoe revealed on social networks is probably a mock-up. The official version will arrive later, if the project is really realized.
The AJ1 should be dressed in the colors of the Oregon school team. The mock-up consists of a white upper with apple green overlays and yellow details, such as stitching or the O of « Oregon Ducks » on the side heel. The Swoosh, Wings logo, ankle area and black laces add cachet to the pair. To make the collaboration with Virgil Abloh’s brand official, the sneaker features a signature Off-White zip-tie in apple green. A white misole and a green outsole finalize the design.
The Off-White x Air Jordan 1 « Oregon Ducks » is announced for « Signing Day », the day the selected high school athletes sign the letter of intent to attend university, i.e. the first Wednesday of February.
