New Clarks Wallabee Spring / Summer 2021

In addition to the recent announcement of a partnership with famed designer Ronnie Fieg for a new line of footwear (article available HERE), legendary British brand CLARKS Originals continues to bring us high-end collaborations and reworked products. For the Spring/Summer 2021 season, the iconic label presents a new range of Wallabee shoes.

Three models shaking up the classic design codes of the famous silhouette have been unveiled.

Traditionally, the Wallabee is made of suede or premium leather. These materials have been minimized to bring a modern touch and an eco-friendly approach.

The three reinterpretations offered today have a casual, spring-like look.

The first features a raffia upper, complemented by black leather inserts at the toe box seam and collar. It is available in two colorways, natural or black. The laces match the upper and the double hang tag is in black leather with gold branding. The mythical crepe sole completes the look.

The second reimagined Wallabee consists of a blend of European indigo cotton, white and indigo blue, which creates an interesting pattern across the foot. A moccasin binding and neutral white leather collar add flair to the pair. The laces and hang tags are also white and the traditional crepe sole is retained for a modern yet authentic look.

The latest version is made in Portugal in a distinctive woven sand textile combining beige, brown and orange in an abstract pattern. To affirm the design, the binding on the toe box and collar are adorned with orange sheepskin, as is the double hang tag. Like the previous Wallabees, the whole is based on the iconic crepe sole.

These new Clarks Wallabee Spring/Summer 2021 are now available at select retailers and on the British brand’s website clarks.com. Prices range from 205$ for the woven sand version to 395$ for each colorway in raffia and 320$ for the indigo iteration.
