NIKE is gearing up to celebrate the famous « 4/20 » day with a « Fruity Pack » of silhouettes from its Skateboarding division. The first two to surface : the SB Dunk High « Pineapple » and the SB Dunk Low « Blue Raspberry ».
All pairs of the « Fruity Pack » are adorned with illustrations corresponding to their respective fruit. These are found on the inside of the tongue. The fruit in question is personalized with special facial expressions commonly seen in the soft drug users. The « 4/20 » holiday being the annual day dedicated to soft drugs.
The SB Dunk High « Pineapple » features an off-white textile base with ochre yellow suede overlays and a chick yellow side Swoosh. To complete the pineapple reference, the laces and tongue branding also appear in shades of yellow. The heel pull adds a touch of contrast with its green color reminiscent of the leaves of the famous fruit. A white midsole paired with a yellow rubber outsole adds the final harmonious touch to the design.
The SB Dunk Low « Blue Raspberry » is dressed in a combination of 3 shades of blue, Racer Blue, Laser Blue and University Blue, with a touch of white. It consists of a leather upper enhanced by suede overlays in a darker blue variation. This shade is also found in the laces, tongue branding and outsole. The side Swoosh stands out in the 3rd shade of blue and the midsole is dressed in white.
The Nike SB « Fruity Pack » is expected to be released in summer 2022, in selected skateshops and on nike.com. This collection should include 2 other pairs, the « Green Apple » and the « Cherry » … Stay tuned !
