As it has every year since 2009, sportswear giant NIKE will pay tribute to the Native American and indigenous community in North America by enhancing its collective N7 series. Following the Free Crater Trail Moc Mule released in 2022, an SB Dunk Low Decon has just surfaced.
Usually, the N7 series would appear during American Indian Heritage Month, which takes place in November. Only in recent years, exclusive pairs have been released on a regular basis throughout the months. According to sources, the SB Dunk Low Decon will indeed be released in the month of November 2023 in order to boost the impact of the line.
NIKE N7 products are « influenced by seven generations of Native American wisdom ». They were designed by and for the Native community. Since its launch in 2009, in collaboration with the N7 Fund, more than $8 million in grants have been awarded to over 270 communities and organizations, administered by the Charities Aid Foundation of America.
This SB Dunk Low Decon N7 honors and is inspired by Native American craftsmanship. It consists of an off-white canvas upper, contrasted by a toe box, laceguard and side overlay in smooth suede or black leather. The specificity of this special version is based on the multicolored floral and spring embroidery on these black parts. To accentuate the handcrafted touch, the overlays, including the white leather Swoosh, feature white stitching. The Nike SB tongue branding and N7 logo on the off-white leather heel tab stand out in red. An off-white leather mudguard, a slimmed down tongue and a black insole with a spring embroidery inspired print complete the look. The whole is based on an off-white midsole that matches the upper and a semi-translucent outsole that adds a modern effect.
The Nike SB Dunk Low Decon N7 is expected to be released during the month of November 2023, in selected skateshops and on nike.com, for a price around $120.
