The ultra-popular silhouette of this year 2020, the Nike SB Dunk Low, will continue its ascent in 2021. The Swoosh brand plans to celebrate the Chinese New Year with an iteration simply named « CNY », designed with a « What The » theme.
This mismatched pair is dressed in a rich and rather warm color palette : red, orange, metallic copper, light grey, metallic silver, yellow, white, black, brown and a touch of green and purple. It consists of an upper combining various materials and prints. We find, among others, an ostrich print on the quarter panel, prints such as paint spots and flowers on the overlays, imitation wood to define the side swoosh, smooth leather or canvas on the side heel, shaggy suede on the toe box. As a tribute to the Chinese New Year, Chinese characters are embroidered on the heel tab and a special circular emblem appears on the left side heel. The whole is based on a white midsole and a yellow or grey outsole, depending on the foot.
The Nike SB Dunk Low « CNY » will be released in early 2021, certainly before the February 12 date marking the Chinese New Year, in selected skate shops and on nike.com. More info to come, stay tuned…
