In September 2010, the Nike Skateboarding division offered us a Dunk Low “Loon”. This colorway was a reference to the official bird of the state of Minnesota. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of this popular pair, the Beaverton brand decided to bring it out for the end of summer 2020.
This shoe, made of premium quality materials, features a design inspired by the plumage of the common loon. The pair consists of a light grey leather upper with black suede overlays on the mudguard, laceguard and heel counter. These black inserts have meticulous little white embroidery, reminiscent of the details appearing on the bird’s wings. The green side swoosh gets its colour from the reflections on the bird’s head. This bright shade adds a nice touch of contrast to the shoe. In terms of detail, the Nike brandings on the tab label and heel tab are bright blue. To finalize the match, the whole is based on a light grey midsole and a green outsole.
The Nike SB Dunk Low « Loon » will be released on September 10, 2020 at Nike.com and selected Nike SB retailers for €110.
