The SB division of the American giant NIKE continues to enrich its next collection « Bubble Gum » by adding a new variation of its famous Dunk model. In addition to the versions « Phillies » and « New York Mets » (available on this site), the pack will include a SB Dunk High « San Francisco Giants ».
This special edition is dressed in the colors of the famous baseball team of the MLB.
It consists of a cream mesh upper complemented by light grey suede overlays. This harmonious base is enhanced by touches of black and orange. These include a black side Swoosh with orange outlines, a black inner lining and two-tone black/orange tongue branding. In terms of subtle details, the inner sides of the tongue tags feature artwork : on one side, a kayak and on the other, a baseball glove. The former refers to fans riding in a kayak at McCovey Cove in hopes of retrieving a large baseball or other game-related items, and the latter pays homage to the world’s largest baseball glove statue located outside Oracle Park Stadium. To finalize the look of the shoe, the whole is based on a white midsole coupled with a black outsole with pink gum markings on the right heel to assert the affiliation with the « Bubbe Gum Pack ».
The Nike SB Dunk High « San Francisco Giants » is expected to be released in the summer of 2022, in selected skateshops and on nike.com, at a price of $120. For the latest official details, stay tuned !
