NIKE SACAI WAFFLE “INDIGO KIMONO” by BESPOKE IND

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]The artists-shoemakers of the future from BESPOKE IND delight us with every production. By applying the craftsmanship methods of yesteryear to the manufacture or reinterpretation of sneakers, this Australians are part of a new trend in this field. These artists attach great importance to the choice of materials and the search for innovation. In deed, we find top-of-the-range, varied and new components, sometimes never used before on so-called sports shoes.

They even venture to test colouring techniques on their cult models, as they do today by presenting us with the “SACAI NIKE WAFFLE RACER indigo + kimono EDIT”.

One of the founders of Bespoke ind, Damian Sim, used his personal pair of Nike Sacai waffle white to test a colouring method. In order to get more contrast and blue tones on the different parts of the shoe, Damian used the base solution from their indigo vat and opted for a triple process of rinsing and activation. He then obtained a “baby blue” on the suede panels covering the lower swoosh, heel and laceguard. Darker indigo is found on the tongues, the rest of the upper and on the upper swoosh called floating swoosh, which here is made of the material used to design Japanese kimono obi. The laces and sole stand out with irregular touches of sky blue. This method of colouring makes each pair unique.

You can take advantage of the skills of the Bespoke ind workshop by sending them a model of your choice or by ordering one of their pairs from their website. You should know that everything is possible with these artists, they can create the grail you are actively looking for or make a pair you would have imagined. This enthusiastic team in its work and in its research of materials and processes, has the same leitmotiv as the late Biggie’s « Sky is the limit » so don’t hesitate !
