Vanessa, the widow of the late Kobe Bryant, took to Instagram to post photos of a special new Nike Kobe 6 Proto. This exclusive pair was designed to celebrate « Black History Month ».
After a few twists and turns, Vanessa Bryant and Nike have reached an agreement so that Kobe Bryant’s legacy lives on through signature sneakers.
Since the mid-2000s, Nike has commemorated Black Excellence and African American Achievement Month through exclusive pairs. This new Nike Kobe 6 Proto « BHM » is dressed in a color scheme reminiscent of the Nike Kobe Proto 5 « Hall of Fame ».
The bball consists of a gradient base in beige to brown, from toe to heel respectively. A nice touch of contrasting and flashy colors is provided by a pink Swoosh with blue outlines that appear to have been sprayed on. For comfort and durability, the heel appears in dark brown leather and features a translucent TPU reinforcement on the sides and tinted with pale yellow in the middle. The beige-brown gradient effect is echoed in the comfortable midsole. A bright blue Zoom unit under the heel and a black outsole boldly finalize the design.
