Le shop Mita venu du Japon, nous propose une nouvelle collaboration exclusive avec Nike. Ils ont choisi la Nike dunk low. Mita a choisi de reprendre le coloris de la légendaire Nike air force 1 “ONIOCHISHIN” sortie en 2004.
Pour les plus jeunes d’entre nous, un peu d’histoire s’impose. A sa sortie en 2004, la nike air force 1 “ONIOCHISHIN” designée par Mita fut considérée comme ayant les couleurs les plus scandaleuses jamais créées, mais avec une sélection de matériaux de haute qualité. Un toebox en cuir contrastant avec un toeguard en cuir d’autruche de haute qualité, du nubuck noir sur le mid-panel, un cuir verni brillant sur le talon. Présentée comme l’une des plus grande AF1 jamais faite, Nike a même utilisé le coloris dit “Mita” pour sa propre GR en 2006.
Pour cette nouvelle sortie sur la Dunk low, Mita a donc décidé de rendre hommage à la “ONIOCHISHIN”, en déplaçant les couleurs sur d’autres parties de la chaussure. Le vernis vert brillant se retrouve au niveau du toebox, le cuir blanc se retrouve sur le mid-panel, et la peau d’autruche en synthétique se retrouve au niveau du talon. Au final malgré ce déplacement de couleurs et matériaux, on reconnait bien cette réinterprétation du modèle original de 2004 qui est vraiment très beau. Malheureusement, il s’agit là d’une exclusivité Japonaise qui sera difficile à récupérer.

The Mita shop from Japan, offers us a new exclusive collaboration with Nike. They chose the Nike dunk low. Mita chose to take back the color of the legendary Nike air force 1 “ONIOCHISHIN” released in 2004.
For the youngest of us, a bit of history is needed. When it was released in 2004, the nike air force 1 “ONIOCHISHIN” designed by Mita was considered to have the most scandalous colors ever created, but with a selection of high quality materials. A toebox in contrasting leather with a toeguard in ostrich leather of high quality, black nubuck on the mid-panel, glossy patent leather on the heel. Introduced as one of the largest AF1 ever made, Nike even used the colorway said “Mita” for its own GR in 2006.
For this new release on the Dunk low, Mita decided to pay tribute to the “ONIOCHISHIN”, moving the colors on other parts of the shoe. The shiny green varnish is found at the toebox, the white leather is found on the mid-panel, and the synthetic ostrich skin is found at the heel. In the end despite this displacement of colors and materials, we recognize this reinterpretation of the original model of 2004 which is really beautiful. Unfortunately, this is a Japanese exclusivity that will be difficult to recover.
