At the beginning of this year 2020, Nike were working on a « Worldwide » collection including several pairs of emblematic shoes, remastered for the occasion. The first silhouettes unveiled were two Air Max 95, one Air Max 90 and two Air Max 270 React. Today, the Swoosh brand is adding two Air Force 1 and an Air Tailwind 79 to this pack.
This collection aims to celebrate the popularity of the Swoosh around the world.
Each of the pairs already included in this pack has a black or white base, with accents of bright colours : volt, blue fury, green or crimson. As a significant detail, the name of the collection « Worldwide » appears on several elements of the shoe. This « dress-code » can be found on the pairs unveiled today.
Both Nike Air Force 1 shoes feature a smooth white leather upper. On the more understated pair, we find a Swoosh volt and a « Nike World » inscription that running down to the outer side heel. The inner lining and inner side of the tongue are black. To complete the look, the two-tone black and volt « Worldwide » logo appears on the tongue, and the Nike branding is bordered with black thread on the white heel tab. On the more distinctive iteration, we discover a Swoosh delicately highlighted by its blue fury embroidered contours. The originality of the shoe is accentuated by the volt inscription « Nike Worldwide » all along the black laces and the strips along the seams. The details include tongue and heel pulls, completing the design. The whole is based on the classic white sole.
The Nike Air Tailwind 79 silhouette is dressed in a colour palette of white, volt, blue fury and black. The upper is made of yellowed white nylon with black suede overlays on the toe, laceguard and the heel. The Swooshes appear in two colours : volt on one side and blue fury on the other. The two-tone black and volt « Nike Worldwide » logo can be found on the tongue label. To affirm the vintage spirit of the pair, the flat laces and the inner lining are white. The whole is based on a white midsole and a black outsole.
The Air Force 1 and Tailwind 79 included in the Nike « Worldwide » pack are expected to arrive in Europe and the United States shortly. A version of this collection is already available in Asia.
