With Halloween right around the corner, the Swoosh’s brand reworked the Nike Air Max 95 silhouette to once again honor the famous horror movie character, Freddy Krueger. The fictional serial killer had already served as inspiration for a Nike SB Dunk Low. The highly coveted pair sold for over 12,000€ on the online market StockX. We will see in a few weeks if the Nike Air Max 95 Freddy Krueger presented today will be as successful.
The shoe designed by Sergio Lozano is made of materials with a rustic and raw style, just like the bloodthirsty star. The colors chosen and the alternation of their placement on the vamp refer to Freddy Krueger’s mythical striped sweater. We find an upper in brown and red raw canvas with brown mesh inserts on the upper part of the foot and grey suede on the toe. The tongue has a grey and black checkered pattern, and the inner lining appears in a solid grey color. To affirm the reference to the famous bloodthirsty fictional character, we discover red bloody stains on the silver part of the tongue and on the Swoosh printed on the grey insole. The Nike Air branding appears on the red heel, whose color drips like a stream of blood along the juxtaposed silver insert. The whole is based on a yellow midsole with the red Air units and a black rubber outsole, thus finalizing the design.
