A few months ago, I told you in an article (available HERE) about the return of the famous Nike Air Max 1 Clot « Kiss of Death ». A pair released in 2006 for the opening of the ACU store in China.
Having had the chance to receive it thanks to my partner FOOTSHOP and after having managed to find a size exchange on this collaboration (it fits large), I suggest you to discover it in pictures at my feet.
Slightly revisited, we discover a red heel reinforcement while it appeared in orange on the original iteration. It’s also adorned with branding details in reverse color. The most striking change is the outsole, which has been reworked and modernized. It’s made of semi-translucent rubber that shows the colored print of a human foot with well-defined areas reminiscent of foot reflexology. For the rest of the design, we find the beige suede base, translucent toe box, red side Swoosh with snakeskin effect and a bright orange midsole. Green top eyelets on a white background and a tongue tag in these two shades finalize the design.
Personally, I was already a fan of the 2006 model. The 2021 version immediately appealed to me because of its punchy color and the originality of its toe box showing the toes. I know that this pair divides the AM1 lovers, because there is no half measure. We love it or we don’t love it. You will have understood, me, I validate in 100%.
