A few months ago, I told you in an article (available HERE) of the Nike Air Max 1 “Tour Yellow”. This special AM1 was part of the pairs celebrating the SNKRS application of Nike in 2022. Having had the chance to receive it thanks to my partner FOOTSHOP, I suggest you to discover it in pictures on my feet.
It consists of a premium white base combining mesh and grained leather. A nice touch of contrast is provided by touches of yellow on the mudguard and the iconic Swoosh logo on the side also in grained leather. To complete the look, the brandings on the tongue tag and heel appear in yellow. The tongue, inner lining and the laces are presented in white. The whole is based on an off-white midsole and a light grey outsole that provide the final touch to Tinker Hatfield’s design.
Personally, I was very much looking forward to this colorway when it was announced and I really wasn’t disappointed. The quality of the leather and mesh is correct. The finishes, as often now, are average. But once I passed what seems to be a recurring theme with Nike, I really liked the design with a beautiful distribution of yellow and grey. I would not say that this is a must-have pair, but rather an original and fresh colorway.
