To the delight of sneakerheads, the famous Nike Air Max 1 OG « Big Bubble » should make a comeback !
Designed by the great Tinker Hatfield, this very rare shoe was part of the original 1986 production, before the official launch of the Air Max 1 a year later, in 1987.
The « Big Bubble » aka « Big Window » is expected to be re-released in its original construction and iconic color code. A precursor to the legendary « OG Red », it features a white mesh upper with suede overlays, light grey on the top, and red on the mudguard and the iconic Swoosh logo on the side. This pair boasts a massive Air unit visible under the heel, larger and longer than the bubble that the 1987 Air Max 1 will feature.
The Nike Air Max 1 OG « Big Bubble » is expected to be released in Spring 2023, at select retailers and on nike.com. As soon as we have official details, we will share them with you. Stay tuned !
