After offering us the colorways « Limeade » and « Strawberry » (articles available on this site), the American giant Nike offers us the final version of the Air Max 1 Powerwall pack : the return of the initial 2006 version, the famous « Lemonade ».
This iteration of yellow color was part of the Powerwall collection released in 2005-2006 : a line of shoes that celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Air Max and composed of 56 versions, ranging from the AM1 to the 360 through the 97.
The Nike Air Max 1 « Lemonade » was a big hit at the time and has never been re-released since. Its return, 15 years after its release, should make people happy…
The pastel yellow shoe consists of an upper combining mesh on the toe box and nylon on the midfoot and collar, with leather overlays. The mudguard and side swoosh are made of smooth leather in a plain pastel yellow color, while the side panels and heel are covered with a white « air » pattern in a retro 70’s style. Dark green accents such as the tongue and heel brandings, as well as the laces and top eyelets, add a nice touch of contrast. A white lining and a green insole covered with yellow lemons finalize the design. The whole is based on a white midsole with a green Air unit combined with a black outsole.
The Nike Air Max 1 « Lemonade » will be available on December 4, 2020 at selected retailers via raffles and on nike.com, for a suggested retail price of 140€ and sizes ranging from EU 36 to EU 49.5. Be ready and good luck !
