The American giant NIKE continues to celebrate the 35 years of the Air Max 1 through eye-catching collaborations and special packs. A few days before the release of the highly anticipated AM1 x Concepts (article available HERE), the Swoosh brand unveils a special AM1 « City of Light » for Air Max Day 2022.
In addition to being an iteration dedicated to Air Max Day, this Air Max 1 refers to the city of Paris nicknamed « the city of light ».
It’s dressed in a light and elegant color palette based on white, neutral grey, metallic silver and a touch of black. This exclusive version features a white mesh base with iridescent high overlays and a neutral grey nubuck mudguard and side Swoosh. The tongue appears in black and features the date of « 3.26 » on its label. To affirm the reference to the Parisian capital, the insole and the underside of the outsole are adorned with the French inscriptions « La ville Lumière – Printemps 2022 – 3.26 ». The look is finalized by a white midsole coupled with a milky semi-translucent, grey and black outsole.
This pair comes in a special box and accompanied by a silver bracelet featuring Nike and Air Max charms.
The Nike Air Max 1 « City of Light » will be released very soon, during the month of March 2022 at selected retailers and on nike.com, for a price of 180$.
